Jewell rode three double-figure scorers and 22 made free throws in defeating Missouri-St. Louis for the second time this season.  The 62-54 win over the Tritons (9-12, 4-9 GLVC) breaks a four game losing streak that began after Jewell's win over UMSL on January 19.

Holly Switzer, Cassy Nicolay and Aerial Smith all hit for double figures in a defensive oriented game.  Switzer had 14 points, six rebounds and two steals while Nicolay also had 14 points, four steals and four rebounds.  Smith added a dozen points, had three assists and had two steals.

The Cardinals (12-7, 7-6) hit 22 of 30 free throws in the game, while UMSL hit 9 of 13.  The Redbirds led by eight at half.

Jewell takes on the Prairie Stars of Illinois-Springfield on the road Thursday night, then face Quincy University Saturday afternoon.
