Box Score The Cardinal women's basketball team dropped a 89-73 decision at #16 University of Indianapolis on Saturday.
In the first half the Cardinals shot 51.7% while the Hounds shot 70.8%, and trailed by four points.

At one point the Hounds had a 10-point lead over the Cardinals. Senior
Cassy Nicolay kept the Cards in the first half with her 11 points and 4 rebounds;
Aerial Smith also contributed 11 points and 3 assists. The Cardinals forced the Hounds into 8 turnovers, while the Cardinals only had two.

During the second half, the Cards had difficulty scoring against the zone defense presented by the Hounds. Freshman
Maddie Nelson had 14 points and four steals;both
Cassy Nicolay and
Aerial Smith finished with 13 points. Overall the Cardinals shot 42.9% from the field, and shot 89.5% at the free throw line. The Cardinals forced the Hounds into 17 turnovers and ended the game with only eight of their own with 12 steals.

The Cardinals are now 8-5 overall and 3-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Their next contest is Thursday at University of Missouri S&T.
