Box Score The William Jewell Cardinals fell in their regular season finale tonight at Rockhurst University tonight 87-80 in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.    The loss puts the Cardinals at 11-15 overall and 6-12 in the GLVC.

The Cardinals came out on fire in the first half shooting an impressive 60 percent from the field and 61 percent from behind the arc.  Hayli Jo Smith put up 11 points in the first half, followed by Aerial Smith with 10.

The second half was a different story for the Cardinals. The Cards were held to 33 percent shooting including going 0-12 from three-point land.   Chelsea Meeks scored 19 points and had seven steals; Aerial Smith rounded out the game with 17 and Hayli Jo Smith contributed 15.

The Cardinals will travel to Kirksville, Mo., to take on Truman State University on Sunday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. for the first round of  The GLVC Tournament.  The Cards lost their lone meeting with Truman this season, falling 83-75 at the Mabee Center on January 25.
