Jewell women's basketball broke a seven-game losing streak in rallying past Wisconsin-Parkside Thursday night in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Chelsea Meeks' steal and two free-throws iced the game for Jewell (9-11, 4-8 in the GLVC), who only led once in the game, going up by three points with 2:11 remaining.
Holding the lead, which was just one point with time running out and possession of the ball belonging to the Rangers, was not easy.

After the timeout, Meeks came up with the steal with just 4.7 seconds left, and was fouled with 2.7 seconds remaining, leading to the final two free throws.
Parkside (6-14, 2-10) had a 16 point lead late in the first half, and led 40-26 at the intermission.
Cassy Nicolay had 24 points and a dozen rebounds for Jewell. Â Meeks added 21 points.
The Cardinals take on Lewis University in Romeoville, Illiinois Saturday afternoon.
