The Cardinal Track & Field teams will once again play host to the Darrel Gourley Open this Saturday, April 12.  There will be 500 student-athletes representing 16 colleges and universities from across the Midwest.  Members of the USATF Elite Development Club Kansas City Smoke will also compete on Saturday.  The annual gathering has been named in honor of legendary Jewell coach Darrel Gourley who led the Cardinal thinclads for 24 years.  The meet will feature a heptathlon and decathlon starting on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Field events will start at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and the first gun will be fired at 1:00 p.m.
Cardinal seniors Jessie Johnson, Maggie Swenson, Kothney-Issa Guillaume, McKenzie Reagan, Trevor Logan, Chris Speed, and Emmanuel Porter will be honored as part of a senior day celebration.
