The University of Indianapolis women reclaimed the top spot for the sixth time in seven years at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which was held at William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo.

The Greyhounds earned 181.33 points to the secure a four-point advantage over Lewis, which comes in the second-closest title race in the conference history.
 
The Flyers settled for second place with 177.33 points, while Bellarmine (129), Missouri S&T (71) and Saint. Joseph's (58.33) completed the top five.  Maryville (44), William Jewell (42), Southern Indiana (34.5), Truman State (31.5) and UW-Parkside (29) rounded out the top 10, leaving McKendree (20) in 11th and Drury out of the team standings with a "no score."

Margaret Perko finished second in the Heptathlon with 4,668 points.  Emmalee Hyde placed eighth in the women's shot put while Gretchen Mayes took home third place in the women's long jump.  Shelbie White earned a fourth place finish in the pole vault,  while Mayes and Perko teamed up with Emily Houk and Jessica Goldsberry to finish seventh in the women's 4x400 relay.  Perko and Mayes also teamed up with Reyven Lawrence and Shelby Ridenhour to place seventh in the women's 4x100 relay.  Goldsberry earned an impressive second place finish in the women's 400 M dash and finished tenth behind Mayes (ninth) in the women's 200 M dash.  Mayes' time os 12.21 helped her take home fifth place honors in the women's 100 M dash to round out the scoring for the Cardinals.
