Box Score The William Jewell women's basketball dropped a 57-50 decision on the road at Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday evening. The Cardinals fall to 4-5 overall and 2-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1Q: Jewell jumped on top early leading by as many as eight behind two three pointers from Katie Finn and Rhyann Fisher. A three at the buzzer pulled UMSL within six 14-8.
- 2Q: The Tritons came storming back in the second quarter as they outscored Jewell 16-6 on their way to taking a 24-20 advantage at halftime. Jewell limited UMSL to just three second chance points in the first half to keep things close.Â
- 3Q: Â UMSL continued to add to their lead after the break as they grew the lead to as many as 17.
- 4Q: Jewell responded in the fourth frame outscoring the Tritons 21-12 including pulling within four at 52-48 with just over two minutes remaining. UMSL took advantage of late fouls and hit six free throws down the stretch to hold off the Cardinal rally.

- Overall Jewell connected on 43 percent of shots from the field but hit just four three-point field goals.
- The Cardinals forced UMSL into 18 turnovers while committing 19 themselves and grabbing 13 steals.

- Jewell was outscored 16-6 in the second quarter and shot just 21-4 percent from the field as the Tritons took the lead.

LEADERS OF THE FLIGHT
- Adriana Rodriguez and Kayla Harrell each posted 13 points to lead Jewell. Rodriguez also added seven boards.
- Sydney Offield was tops for the Cards with eight rebounds and five steals.
- Katie Finn collected a game-high four assists.
