  • Despite being without a true post player for the vast majority of the season, the Cardinals are one of the better shot blocking teams in the conference, averaging nearly three per game, sixth best in the GLVC. Jewell has an average height of 5'11 and use their length to disrupt offenses, as they are also ranked ninth with 14.19 turnovers forced per outing. From her point guard position, Katie Knock leads the team with 0.8 blocks per game and 12 total, while five others have at least four rejections.
  • The Cardinals are in their 49th season of varsity basketball, and chasing the 800-win mark, entering the season at 785. The program has won nine conference championships and appeared in seven national tournaments.
