Softball Returns Home to Host Fort Hays State

LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell softball team returns home this weekend, hosting Fort Hays State on Saturday for a doubleheader.

Jewell is coming off a 1-3 weekend, winning a 4-1 decision over Winona State to close the Lewis Dome Invitational.
Aliyah Santiago tossed a nine-inning complete game to defeat Winona State on Sunday in her first appearance of the year.
Payton leads the team with a .346 batting average, getting on base better than 50% of the time, to rank seventh in the GLVC after drawing a team high nine walks.
Dustin Combs is in his 16^th season with the Cardinals, owns more than 400 career wins and is looking for return to the GLVC Tournament for the first time since 2018.
