The William Jewell College baseball team fell behind, 9-0, after three innings, and never regrouped in an 11-0 loss to Missouri Western State University on Wednesday in Saint Joseph, Mo.  Jewell falls to 3-4 on the season.

The Griffons erupted for 17 hits, scoring once in the first, seven in the second, and once in the fifth and sixth.  Shortstop Coleman Waheed collected two of Jewell's six hits on the afternoon. 

Junior David Collins(0-3) took the loss for the Cardinals, allowing five runs on seven hits.

William Jewell will return to action on when they travel to Owensboro, Ky., for a four game series against Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday and Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 12:00 p.m. both days.
