The William Jewell College baseball team suffered a second straight doubleheader sweep to McKendree University on
Saturday afternoon in Lebanon, Ill. 

The Bearcats shutout the Cardinals both games winning 4-0 in game one and 5-0 in game two. 
Jewell (6-11) starter Billy Kirkpatrick surrendered four earned runs in the loss in the opener. He fanned two batters but could not garner offensive support after allowing two runs in the first and fifth innings.

In the second game, David Collins tossed a complete game giving up 11 hits and five runs (four earned) while striking out 11 to drop to 1-4 on the year.

The Cardinals will host Benedictine College on Wednesday, March 27 at Talley Stadium beginning at 2:30 p.m.
