The William Jewell College baseball team fell 13-9 this afternoon in non-conference action against Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo.

The loss drops the Cardinals to 11-17 overall on the spring season.

The Bearcats got off to a 4-1 lead after one inning before scoring two in the second and one in the third.  Northwest then scored two in the fourth, single runs in the fifth and sixth and then three in the seventh and two in the eighth. 

Coleman Waheed led the Jewell offensive attack with three hits and two RBI's.  Tom Herrera also plated home two and Jake Roebuck had three hits and an RBI. 

Trevor Miller (0-2) took the loss only lasting two thirds of an inning giving up four runs on four hits. 

The Cardinals will play tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. against University of Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo.
