Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The William Jewell Cardinals wrapped up their regular season on Monday with a doubleheader against Great Lakes Valley Conference opponent No. 16 Drury University. The Panthers shut out the Cards 9-0 in game one only to see the Cardinals come back to win game two 6-4.

In the first game, Drury exploded for five in the fourth and three in the fifth.  Drury starter Kevin Sweeney (6-2) and reliever Ethan Mather held the Cards to three hits while striking out 10.

David Collins (3-9) took the loss going 3.1 innings giving up nine hits and six runs.
In game two,  the Cardinals scored one in the first, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and one in the sixth.  Clarke O'Dowd,

Jordan Rice and Bryan Rezin each collected two hits.  O'Dowd had an RBI and Rezin scored twice for Jewell.  Jordan Rice had three hits and two runs scored as well. 

Drew Mitrisin (7-2) went the distance for Jewell giving up seven hits and four runs while striking out three. 

The Cardinals end their 2013 season with an overall record of 19-29 and 13-23 in GLVC play.
