Box Score St. Mary's limited the William Jewell baseball team to just one run on four hits as the number five ranked Rattlers took the second game of the three-game series 3-1 Saturday afternoon. The game took place at Dickson Stadium in San Antonio, Texas.

Jewell's Preston Felgate and St. Mary's Matt McClain were engaged in a pitching dual from the get go. Jewell grabbed a 1-0 lead in the fifth when Hunter Brown scored on a wild pitch.   

St. Mary's (13-4) took the lead in the seventh with two runs and added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth. 

McClain (4-1) pitched eight innings for St. Mary's allowing just one unearned run on four hits. He struck out eight Cardinal batters.  Adrian Garcia recorded his first save of the year as he retired the Cardinals in order in the ninth.

For Jewell,  Preston Felgate (0-1) was hit with the tough luck loss pitching seven innings allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits.

Sam Morman went 2-4 while Brown went 1-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.

The Cards (1-1) will wrap up their three-game stand with St. Mary's tomorrow with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m. at Dickson Stadium.
