The William Jewell baseball team lost to Newman University, 10-0, in a non-conference match-up at McCarthy Field in Wichita, Kan., on Wednesday.   Jewell goes to 5-8 on the year while Newman improves to 12-8.

Bryan Porting and Vance Gorman finished 2-for-4 in the game to account for four of the Cardinals six hits. 

Nick Farleigh (0-1) took the loss tossing four innings giving up four hits, five runs (four earned) and three walks. 

The Cardinals return to Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Saturday, March 22 as they host University of Southern Indiana at Talley Stadium.  First pitch is slated for 12:00 p.m.
