In the opener the Cardinals trailed 2-0 before scoring their only run of the game in the top of the seventh as
Jared Patton's fielder's choice scored Colman Waheed but Maryville was able to hold on for the narrow 2-1 win.
Waheed led the Cards going 2-3 with a run scored.
Drew Mitrisin (2-2) was the tough luck loser tossing six innings giving up only three hits, two ones, and one walk while striking out two.
In the second game, Jewell got off to a 1-0 lead when Waheed drove home
Sam Morman in the top of the fourth. Maryville answered back with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and two more in the bottom of the eighth.
Jewell then scored one in the ninth as Waheed's triple scored
