The William Jewell College baseball team lost to Southwest Baptist University 10-1, in non-conference action in Bolivar, Mo., on Tuesday afternoon.  The loss drops Jewell to 9-20 on the season while the Bearcats improve to 19-10. 

Dylan Pollack (0-3) lasted 3 1/3 innings while sacrificing four runs on four hits while striking out three. Chris Mancha lasted 2 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out one.  Ron Johnson gave up a run in a third of inning and Trevor Miller gave up two runs on one hit in an inning of work.  Devin Burrell was the only Cardinal pitcher of the day not to give up a run as he tossed and inning of scoreless relief while striking out one..

Hunter Brown led the way offensively for the Cardinals going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.  Clarke O'Dowd singled in Brown in the top of the seventh for the Cardinals only run of the day.

William Jewell will travel to Springfield, Mo., on Saturday, April 12 for a four game series with Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Drury University.  First pitch is slated for 12:00 p.m.
