Brendan Beatty was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week the league announced Monday.
The Hallsville, Mo., native helped lead the Cardinals to a 3-1 series win over Rockhurst this past weekend. In his start on Sunday, he hurled 9.0 innings, allowing six hits and no walks with eight strikeouts in a complete game shutout against the Hawks.
