William Jewell redshirt sophomore
Wyatt Schulz was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday evening.
The right handed hurler tossed the best game of his young career on Sunday in a 1-0 win over GLVC West leader Drury University. Schulz earned his first complete game shutout, allowing just two hits and one walk, while striking out a career-high eight. He did not allow a hit passed the fifth inning, holding the Panthers to a .091 average.
This is the first honor in Schulz's career and the first for the Cardinals since
Brendan Beatty on March 27, 2017.
