William Jewell College has announced the Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019, which includes five former student-athletes and two teams.
The 25th induction class features Ken Clemens (football/track & field), Larry Heaps (cross country/track & field), Jeremy Strack (baseball), Nicole Revenaugh (soccer/basketball), and Tim Wilson (golf). Also entering the Hall of Fame as a team are the 2004 baseball and 2006 men's soccer squads.
The 2019 Hall of Fame induction will take place on Thursday, September 12 at 6 p.m. in the Mabee Center on the campus of William Jewell. Inductees will also be recognized at the football game versus West Texas A&M on Saturday, September 14 at 3 p.m. Tickets for the Thursday evening banquet are available for $50 each and may be purchased by contacting Assistant Athletic Director

In addition to the Hall of Fame class, Jewell will host a formal recognition of the 40-year career of retired men's basketball coach Larry Holley, '67.
2019 Hall of Fame Induction Class
Ken Clemens, '91
Clemens was a four-year letterwinner on the football field, earning All-Heart of America and NAIA District 16 honors in every season of his career. As a senior in the fall of 1990, he was named Second Team All-America by the NAIA after posting a school record 1,036 receiving yards, a mark which still stands. His 10 touchdowns and 53 receptions in 1990 are also second and fifth in a single season at Jewell. For his career he caught 132 passes for 2,327 yards, an average of more than 17 yards per play, and scored 21 touchdowns. Also a standout in track and field, he earned All-HAAC honors in the 400 and 300, the high jump, and the 4x400 relay. He was named the 1991 Cecil Martin Award recipient for Male Athlete of the Year.
Larry Heaps, '62
Heaps earned eight combined varsity letters between cross country and track and field. The captain of the 1961 cross country team that won the Missouri Collegiate Athletic Union championship and took a program-best fifth place at the NAIA National Championship, he graduated as the school record holder in the mile with a time of 4:26.20. Individually as a senior, he won the MCAU title and placed 14
that the NAIA National Championship, earning him All-America honors.
Nicole Revenaugh, '08
One of the more rare two-sport athletes in the modern era, Revenaugh earned five varsity letters, four in soccer and one in basketball. On the pitch, she shined over her final two seasons, earning First Team All-HAAC and All-Region honors. She was also a two-time NAIA All-American, posting a first team nod as a senior in the fall of 2007 after scoring 35 goals. On the basketball court she was a First Team All-HAAC selection as a freshman before foregoing the hardwood to focus on soccer. For her work she was named the 2006 Vicki Larason Landman Award winner for Female Athlete of the Year.
Jeremy Strack, '08
Strack came to the Cardinals as a junior transfer and was an instant success, earning First Team All-HAAC selections and the HAAC Gold Glove Award twice. In addition, as a senior, he was named First Team All-Region and First Team All-America after hitting .422 with 14 doubles, six triples, and 12 home runs, while leading the nation with 62 stolen bases. In just two years with the Cardinals he posted 99 stolen bags, 30 doubles, 10 triples, and 16 home runs, while hitting .386. As a senior in 2008 he was selected for the Cecil Martin Award for Male Athlete of the Year.
Tim Wilson, '92
Wilson is the only men's golfer in school history to earn All-America status as he placed 10
that the 1992 NAIA National Championship. Earlier that season he was also the HAAC medalist and the NAIA District 16 medalist to qualify for the national tournament. During his final season he posted a score of 71 on two occasions and scored 76 or better nine times.
2004 Baseball Team
The 2004 baseball Cardinals set a school record with an overall mark of 47-18 on their way to winning the HAAC and Region 16 titles. The Cardinals fell in the NAIA Super Regional to Oklahoma City University. This team featured four All-Americans and was led by
Mike Stockton who was named the HAAC and Region Coach of the Year.
2006 Men's Soccer Team
Considered perhaps the best team in program history and the first to enter the Hall of Fame, the 2006 men's soccer squad finished the season 18-3-2, including 9-0 in conference play, becoming the first men's team to boast a perfect league season. They were the championships of the HAAC and Region 16 and reached the Final Four of the NAIA National Championship. The Cardinals finished the season ranked No. 1 by the Massey Ratings System and No. 3 in the NAIA national poll. This team was led by Region and National Coach of the Year Chris Cissell, '94 and featured three All-Americans.
