LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell baseball team is back at home this weekend for a four-game set with Missouri-St. Louis, beginning Friday. Due to expected rain in the area, the opening game has been moved up to 12 p.m.

CARDINAL NOTES

• The Cardinals are coming off an 8-4 midweek win over Missouri Western on Tuesday evening, coming back from down two to win.
• The Cardinals are third in the GLVC with a team batting average of .309 with a league leading 56 doubles. 
• Alex Epp has returned to his old self as one of the hardest outs in the league. The senior is hitting .436 and riding an eight game hit streak and boasts a base knock in 18 of his last 19 games. 
• Dawson Tweet has started 13 games (appeared in 16) this spring and has been another hard out, hitting .425 with eight doubles among his 17 hits. Last weekend against Drury, the junior was 7-for-12 at the plate (.583) with two doubles and three RBI. 
• Chandler Ashby has made an immediate impact on the mound, jumping in as one of the top arms in the GLVC. He has yet to allow an earned run through two weekends of league action, tossing two complete game shutouts and allowing a combined four hits while striking out 17. 
• Mike Stockton who is in his 22^nd season at the helm of the Cardinal baseball program, is a member of the William Jewell Athletics Hall of Fame, owning more than 600 career victories.
