LIBERTY, Mo. - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has announced the All-Midwest Region selections for the 2023 season. Among those selected is William Jewell's Alex Epp, who earned Second Team honors at shortstop for the second consecutive year. 

The senior, who is planning to return to Jewell in 2024 an utilize his fifth year, is one of 11 players from seven Great Lakes Valley Conference schools to make the list. In his fourth season with the Cardinals he reset his own single season batting average record (NCAA era) at .435 and came up one hit shy of his own record in that category with 80. Additionally, he added 16 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 49 RBI and 55 runs while setting a new record with 48 walks.
