LIBERTY, Mo. - William Jewell's Alex Epp and Evan Jilbert were named to the 2024 NCBWA All-Midwest Region First Team Wednesday evening. It is the third consecutive year Epp has picked up All-Midwest Region honors, but this his first time making the First Team list after his 2022 and 2023 campaigns earned him Second Team honors. It is the first time that Evan Jilbert has been selected to the postseason list. Both Epp and Jilbert were named First Team All-GLVC last week with Epp taking home the conference Player of the Year award.

Epp, in his fifth and final year with the Cardinals, led the conference with 58 runs, 17 doubles, and drawing 38 walks through conference action. He was second with 56 hits and was fifth with a .424 batting average. The Wichita, Kansas native led Division II baseball in runs (85) and runs per game (1.57). The shortstop was named GLVC Player of the Week and later the DII National Hitter of the Week in late April.

Jilbert who was used as both an outfielder and designated hitter hit 14 home runs, lead the GLVC with 65 RBIs, and had a 1.145 OPS during the conference schedule and earned the All-Midwest Region team as an outfielder. The Auburn, Washington native was the D-II leader in RBI's with 88 while finishing the season second in all of Division II baseball with 1.66 RBI's per game. He was named GLVC Player of the Week and DII National Hitter of the Week one week prior to Epp. 

Of the 17 members of the First Team, 11 are from the GLVC representing nine conference institutions.
