INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two William Jewell Cardinals were named to the All-GLVC team on Tuesday night, as announced by the league office the night before the GLVC Baseball Championship Tournament begins on Wednesday. Redshirt senior Jordan Phillips was selected to the All-GLVC First Team as a utility player, while senior outfielder Evan Jilbert was tabbed as an honorable mention.
 
Phillips wraps up his third and final year with the Cardinal program where he hit a team high .361, where he was top ten in the GLVC with 66 hits, including being tied for the second most doubles (20). Phillips was tied for the most home runs on the team with eight, while going 18-for-19 in stolen base attempts.
 
While he primarily played third base and right field for the Cardinals this year the Deer Park, Texas native also made two appearances on the mound, including one start, where he struck-out three batters and had a combined ERA of 4.50. It is the second career All-GLVC award after being a Second Team honoree in 2024.
 
It was also the second time Jilbert has been tabbed an All-GLVC performer, landing on the Honorable Mention list after a First Team selection following last season. The Auburn, Washington native was second on the team in average (.356), had seven homers, scored a team-high 45 runs, all while drawing the fourth-most walks in the GLVC with 33.
 
The conference also announced the GLVC James R. Spaulding Sportsmanship Honorees, for individuals that are good academic standing and demonstrate good citizenship outside of the sports-completion setting. Jewell's recipient was Cardinal redshirt senior Ben Click.
