LIBERTY, Mo. - After receiving Second Team All-America honors a season ago, Evan Jilbert was named a First Team Preseason All-American by D2 Baseball Friday afternoon. Jilbert is one of only four players from active GLVC institutions to be selected to the list, being one of two Conference members on the First Team. 

Jilbert who was used as both an outfielder and designated hitter last season hit 20 home runs, lead the GLVC with 88 RBIs, and had a 1.171 OPS during the season en route to being named All-GLVC First Team, First Team All-Midwest Region, and a Second Team All-American . The Auburn, Washington native was the D-II leader in RBI's while finishing the season second in all of Division II baseball with 1.66 RBI's per game. In addition, he was named GLVC Player of the Week and DII National Hitter of the Week during the year.
