Chad Jones had an outstanding career for the basketball Cardinals. He was a four year letterwinner, three-time All-Heart of America Conference and was named the HAAC Player of the Year as a senior. He set the program's single season scoring record with 885 points as a senior when he was named an NAIA-II First Team All-American. Chad played on three Final Four teams for the Cardinals and during his four-year career Jewell compiled a record of 113-39 with one HAAC Co-Championship and three second place finishes. Jones also lettered in baseball and track & field and following graduation, played one season for the Perry Lakes Hawks Professional Basketball Team (Perth, Australia) in 1998 where he led the league in scoring.
