Kim Rivers graduated in 1989 and majored in physical education.
While at Jewell, he distinguished himself as the first ever first team All-American in basketball. Kim was the catalyst on Jewell’s 1987-88 squad which won the Conference Championship, the NAIA District 16 Championship and reached the Quarterfinals of the NAIA National Tournament at Kemper Arena. The Cardinals finished the season 32-2. Kim was named Player of the Year in the Conference and District and made the All-Star Team in three invitational tournaments.
