Katie is a graduate of Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Mo., who transferred to William Jewell in January of 2000 after one semester at Rockhurst University. Some of her honors in her three-year career at Jewell included: being named First Team All-Conference all three years; being named the HAAC Conference ‘Newcomer of the Year’ and being named an NAIA Division II Honorable Mention All-American as a junior and senior. She was a Team Captain, a 7-time Jewell Scholar-Athlete, and received the Vicki Larason Landman Award as Jewell’s ‘Female Athlete of the Year’ as a senior. She finished her career as Jewell’s career leader in assists and she still holds single season records in FT% and Assists and in fact her 89.4% from the line led the Nation. She is seventh on Jewell’s career scoring list. Katie played on teams that won one HAAC Title and made two appearances in the NAIA II National Tournament.
